The Metropolitan Opera has announced its first-ever Met Orchestra Asia Tour this summer, June 19–30, immediately following its annual June residency at Carnegie Hall. Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the Met's Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director, will conduct the Met Orchestra, with guest artists soprano Lisette Oropesa, mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča, and bass-baritone Christian Van Horn.

Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the Grammy Award-winning conductor and Metropolitan Opera Music Director, led a surprise concert on Little Island on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Joining Nézet-Séguin at this urban oasis on the Hudson River were a quartet of Met Orchestra horn players – Erik Ralske, Roy Femenella, Javier Gándara and Barbara Jöstlein Currie.  

The Heavy’s sixth album AMEN was recorded at Rockfield Studios, produced with Tchad Blake (The Black Keys, U2) and engineered with Real World Studios’ Joe Jones. Elsewhere on the album there’s the grimy swamp glam of ‘Bad Muthaf**ker’ and gnarled roadhouse rocker ‘Stone Cold Killer’, while ‘Whole Lot Of Me’, ‘Feels Like Rain’ and ‘Without A Woman.'

Today the Abbey Theatre and Lyric Theatre in Belfast announced a major new co-production of Brian Friel’s Translations. Friel’s modern classic excavates small town, rural Ireland to interrogate language, the impact of words and how we communicate.

PS CLASSICS has announced the release of All the Girls – the new album from Rebecca Luker and Sally Wilfert – on CD online and in stores today, Friday, March 5. It was released in digital and streaming formats in December. The album marks the final recording by Ms. Luker, a Broadway luminary for over 30 years, who passed away late last year.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced its Winter Season for 2018/19 in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. Featuring two pairings of plays by William Shakespeare and his celebrated counterpart, Christopher Marlowe, this call and response season opens on 7 November 2018. Throughout the season we are also inviting today's artists to examine, rework and elaborate on these 400-year-old provocations with new work written in response to Shakespeare and Marlowe.

The Actors' Gang has announced an extension of "The New Colossus" due to strong ticket sales. The production will now continue through May 12 at The Actors' Gang Theater. Directed by Tim Robbins and written The Actors' Gang ensemble and The Actors' Gang's Artistic Director, Tim Robbins. The world premiere of The New Colossus began previews on February 8 and opened on February 17, 2018. Six new performances have been added on Saturday nights at 8:00pm - April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5, and closing night, May 12.

The Actors' Gang presents The New Colossus, a new play written by The Actors' Gang ensemble and directed by Actors' Gang Artistic Director Tim Robbins. The New Colossus begins previews on Thursday, February 8, has its world premiere on Saturday, February 17 and runs through Saturday, March 24, 2018.
