The Smith Center is ushering in a dazzling fall-winter lineup featuring the world's favorite Tony Award-winning Broadway musicals, seasonal concerts and world-renowned shows.

"The Portrait" will make its world premiere this summer at the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N. Lincoln Ave.) as part of the theater's "Solo Celebration!" series, an eight-month series of provocative and powerful solo plays.

Curt Wollan and Troupe America Inc., the producer of the national hit musical comedy series The Church Basement Ladies announce the ladies return to Plymouth Playhouse with a completely new look at what happens in their Church Basement kitchen. You've met the ladies, now meet the men. Told from a male perspective (with the ladies), the truth is revealed about what happens in the kitchen of the church basement in this hilarious yet touching new musical titled RISE UP, O MEN, the sixth in the popular series, previews August 17-19, opening August 20 and continuing through November 13, 2016.

The Almeida will broadcast Artistic Director Rupert Goold's production of RICHARD III, with Ralph Fiennes as Shakespeare's most notorious villain and Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Margaret, live to cinemas in the UK and around the world on 21 July.

This summer, JACK presents the premiere of Toshiki Okada's Quiet, Comfort, commissioned by Hoi Polloi and directed by Alec Duffy, a duo of singer/performer Helga Davis and choreographer/dancer Ji?i Bartovanec (of the Sasha Waltz Dance Company), the premiere of the play The Animals, by Amina Henry, a new piece by choreographer Biba Bell, the second annual Brooklyn Experimental Song Carnival, curated by Valerie Kuehne, plus several concerts throughout the season.

This April, Dancehouse, Carriageworks and the Keir Foundation present the premieres of eight works by outstanding commissioned artists for the 2016 Keir Choreographic Award (KCA), Australia's first major choreographic award. Performing in two programs over five days (April 26-30) at Melbourne's Dancehouse, the eight choreographers compete for the prestigious award and a $30,000 first-place cash prize, with four finalists to be announced on the final evening.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College concludes its 2015-16 Jazz Series on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3pm with three-time Grammy Award-winning pianist Ramsey Lewis and singer/guitarist John Pizzarelli, joining forces in a tribute to the titan of fifties vocal pop, Nat King Cole.
