Pasadena Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman announced the latest news for the theater’s upcoming six-month-long celebration of the works and impact of Stephen Sondheim January 26 through June 11, 2023. 

Stephanie Mills, Grammy award-winning singer and star of Broadway's “The Wiz,” will be spotlighted among other Brooklyn-based performers for Brooklyn Technical High School's Centennial Gala Celebration. Leonard S. Riggio (Brooklyn Tech Class of 1958), founder of Barnes & Noble, has been named Centennial Commissioner.

The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) in partnership with dance Immersion will honor Germaine Acogny, John Alleyne, Rosemary James, Don Jordan, and Ola Skanks at the 33rd Annual International Conference and Festival of Blacks in Dance, Globally Connected: What Does Our Tomorrow Hold?, being held on January 25-29, 2023 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

​​​​​​​Seattle Center Festál continues with the Hmong New Year Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall. The festival, produced in partnership with Hmong Association of Washington, is free, family friendly and open to the public.

Aída Cuevas, “The Queen of Ranchera Music” commemorates  the 45th anniversary of her career as she returns to her Los Angeles familia at The Soraya for the  fourth time to perform Yo Creo Que Es Tiempo, a spectacular retrospective of her most beloved  songs and greatest hits including favorites such as El Pastor, México en la Piel, Te Doy Las  Gracias, and Quizás Mañana.  

David Alan Grier has been cast as Cogsworth in ABC's upcoming animated and live-action blended special, “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration.” Grier will join the previously announced H.E.R. in the role of Belle, Joshua Henry as Gaston, Josh Groban as the Beast, and Rita Moreno as the Narrator.

Elizabeth Stanley will now headline The New York Pops Underground cabaret on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 54 Below. Stanley will be singing selections from Songs for a New World, Bridges of Madison County, Jagged Little Pill, Company, A Little Night Music, and more.
