Il 10 giugno al Radio City Music Hall di New York si svolgera la 72esima edizione dei Tony Awards, che quest'anno vedra sul palco in veste di presentatori Sara Bareilles e Josh Groban. Il primo maggio, in diretta streaming, Katharine McPhee e Leslie Odom Jr. hanno annunciato i nomi dei concorrenti in gara. Da subito e sembrato chiaro come questa edizione dell'importante premio del musical americano sia segnata da tre grandi titoli: 'Mean Girls', 'SpongeBob SquarePants' e 'The Band's Visit'.

The 2018 Tony nominees are already winners... literally. For some, this marks their first nomination, but others have already won Tony Awards in seasons past. We took a look at which nominees have won at least a Tony or two (or nine) - amongst them, they've gathered a total of 88 awards!

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey opens their 2018 season with Tartuffe by Moliere, translated by Richard Wilber, and directed by the theatre's Artistic Director, Bonnie J. Today the Franco-American Cultural Fund have announced that Mélanie Laurent will be honored as their “Focus on a Filmmaker” at the COLCOA French Film Festival.  Additionally, they have announced the five films that comprise the “COLCOA Classic Series.” These selections will be presented as part of COLCOA's 22nd edition, which will run Monday, April 23 through Monday, April 30, with all screenings taking place at the Directors Guild of America.   All films in the COLCOA Classics are free to the public. The complete line-up including films and series competing for the COLCOA Awards 2018 will be announced on April 3rd.

This short drama about sexual identity, first love and social norms that takes place among college friends, was written and directed by newcomer Jordan Gear and stars Jonathan Lipnicki, the former child actor from Jerry Maguire.

Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 85th season with Steel Magnolias, written by Robert Harling and directed by Ellyn Essig. Steel Magnolias will run February 17th through March 10th with curtain at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays.
