The Buddy Holly Story, a dramatic jukebox musical at the Spencer Theater, Sunday, September 26 at 2 p.m., tells the story of the young Lubbock man in horn-rimmed glasses who became the world's top recording artist with a show that features over 20 of Buddy Holly's greatest hits including Peggy Sue, That'll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Maybe Baby, Ritchie Valens' La Bamba, and the Big Bopper's Chantilly Lace.

MID-LIFE! THE CRISIS MUSICAL is set to play at The Crown Uptown Theatre June 25 through August 15. The show was created by Bob Walton and Jim Walton in 2006 and has been touring the country ever since. Older Daddy Music recently released the studio cast recording.

Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features announced today that the new Broadway musical ELF will star Tony® Award winner Beth Leavel (Emily), Tony® Award nominee Mark Jacoby (Walter), Matthew Gumley (Michael), Valerie Wright (Deb), Michael McCormick (Mr. Greenway), Michael Mandell (Store Manager) and six-time Emmy® Award winner George Wendt (Santa). Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize winning play takes place in the deep South in 1948 and tells the story of Daisy Werthan, a rich and sharp-tongued Jewish widow who must rely on the services of a chauffeur, a thoughtful, soft-spoken black man named Hoke. In a series of scenes spanning 25 years, the two grow close and develop a unique friendship despite their mutual differences.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association today announces the Hollywood Bowl summer 2010 subscription series for its 89th season at the historic venue.
