Lookingglass Theatre Company concludes its 30th Anniversary season with the world premiere of 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas adapted by David Kersnar and Althos Low, from the books by Jules Verne, directed by Ensemble Member David Kersnar. 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas runs May 23 - August 19, 2018 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. The Press Opening is Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Rooftop Films is proud to announce our feature film slate for the 2018 Rooftop Films Summer Series, presented by SundanceTV. This year's series will take place May 19th to August 25th featuring more than 45 outdoor screenings in more than a dozen spectacular outdoor venues, with live music, filmmaker appearances, and special enhanced screenings of the best, new, independent films from around the world. The open-air festivities will kick off on Saturday, May 19th, with “This is What We Mean by Short Films,” a collection of some of the most innovative short films of the past year. That screening will take place in the newest Rooftop Films venue, Green-Wood Cemetery. 

In honor of their upcoming touring production of Adam Kraar's Alternating Currents, Working Theater (Mark Plesent, Producing Artistic Director) will host community engagement events in each of the five boroughs. Community Dialogue events will focus on the dominant theme of the play; how communities deal with increasing diversity. Each event will center around a shared meal and conversation guided by Working Theater's Community Engagement Coordinator, Tricia Patrick.

The Suncoast Credit Union Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF) is proud to announce the dynamic 2018 Feature Film Competition Lineup. Devon Allman is the former leader of Honeytribe and Royal Southern Brotherhood, and son of the late Gregg Allman. The 2018/19 Mirvish season will feature six Canadian premieres, one North American premiere, one pre-Broadway engagement and five new productions. A total of 16 shows will play at Mirvish theatres from June 2018 to July 2019. The main subscription season will feature seven shows and the Off-Mirvish season three shows. There will be six bonus shows that will not be on subscription.

 Jonathan Bailey Holland has been announced as Composer-In-Residence of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for the 2018-19 season. His relationship with the Orchestra began under the tenure of conductor Paavo Jarvi, and has continued with great success under the oversight of Maestro Louis Langree.
