Due to high fan-demand, Five Finger Death Punch and Breaking Benjamin have announced an expansion of their co-headlining North American Outdoor Amphitheater tour with additional dateswhich will take both bands through fall 2018. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. Recipients to be honored at the 41st annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and actress Cher, composer and pianist Philip Glass, Country music entertainer Reba McEntire, and jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter. This year, the co-creators of Hamilton-writer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and music director Alex Lacamoire-will receive a unique Kennedy Center Honors as trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category.

Choreography isn't as eye-popping in CPCC Summer Theatre's NEWSIES as the Broadway version was, but the hero's role and all the colorful elders are performed on the same lofty level as the impressive set design.

Second season Voice finalist Kim Yarbrough comes to Palm Desert on Sunday, July 15th for her one-women tribute to singer Etta James with 'Me And Ms. Peaches. She will be joined by a live band for the show in the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center at 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert. Her performance is part of the 9th season of the Cabaret On Sundays Summer Series presented by Les Michaels.
