The legendary Ogunquit Playhouse is thrilled to produce five spectacular musicals for its upcoming season that includes an all-new production of the sizzling song and dance celebration Smokey Joe's Cafe, the U.S. premiere of the hilarious new musical Grumpy Old Men, a beautiful new production of the classic Oklahoma!, and the first regional production of the sumptuous new musical An American in Paris. Closing out the season is a surprise smash musical sensation that will run for an unprecedented 8 weeks, from September 5 through October 28, which will be announced in March.

Music fans wanting a little variety with their summer tour package will get that very thing with the “Poison…Nothin' But A Good Time 2018” tour. Iconic rock band POISON, with all original members, will be joined by CHEAP TRICK and POP EVIL on its trek across the U.S. this summer. The tour is set to launch May 18 in Irvine, CA at Five Points Amphitheatre.

According to Deadline, Netflix has just acquired a new comedy series from Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy- The Politician. Tony winner Ben Platt has already signed on to star, with Gwyneth Paltrow and stage and screen legend Barbra Streisand currently in talks to co-star.

An evening of song and swing awaits local music lovers as Philadelphia Theatre Company presents "The Summer Club: A Big Band Valentine's Day." Cupid shoots his arrow down music's memory lane this February 14th as audiences are transported to an era when clubs were hot, everyone dressed up and martinis came straight up. Take the Lead Dance Project will have everyone swinging in the aisles with free dance lessons before the show. Champagne cocktails will be pouring at the bar and Asher's Chocolates will provide a sweet treat to remember the night. This one-night only event takes place at Philadelphia Theatre Company at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad). Doors open at 6:00pm, with showtime at 7:00pm. In February, YAMATO: The Drummers of Japan bring their "genuinely theatrical experience" (Times) to Miami (Arsht Center, February 18),West Palm Beach (Kravis Center, February 19-20), and Melbourne (King Center,February 21), within their United States 30-city tour of THE CHALLENGERS. The US appearances - from January 18-March 19, 2018 - are part of their 2017-2018 world tour celebrating the Taiko troupe's 25th anniversary. Other stops in the US range from colleges and universities to large performing arts venues, spanning the entire nation from Maine to California.
