The Pinter Fortnightly series returns to ACT as a part of its Central Heating Lab line-up of events this season, beginning March 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Started in 2009 as an early highlight of the Central Heating Lab at ACT, Pinter Fortnightly features a number of Seattle's best actors, all of whom donate their time and talent on Monday evenings-typically the actor's "day off"-to present readings of works by the late Nobel laureate playwright Harold Pinter.

Two FREE staged readings will be presented in ACT's Bullitt Cabaret on February 27 at 7:30 p.m. and February 28 at 3:00 p.m. Each reading will be followed immediately by post-play discussions with the playwright and the director, Kurt Beattie.

Veteran British actor Ian Carmichael has died at the age of 89.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company is proud to announce that our summer comedy will be Boeing-Boeing by Marc Camoletti, adapted by Beverley Cross.

Twelve early-career directors and designers have been selected for the 2009 NEA/TCG Career Development Programs for Theatre Directors and Designers. The recipients were chosen by an independent, national selection panel composed of theatre professionals. Matthew Warchus is to direct a musical version of the Academy award winning film Ghost, scheduled to open in the West End in 2010. Music and lyrics are by Grammy award winning Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, Oscar winning Bruce Joel Rubin will adapt his original screen play for the stage and write lyrics, set and costumes designs are by Rob Howell and the musical supervisors will be Christopher Nightingale and Tesse Gohl. Ghost is produced by David Garfinkle of New York?s Hello Entertainment and London producer Colin Ingram in association with Paramount Pictures. Further information about this production will be announced at a later date.

Producer Sonia Friedman announced today that the 2008 Tony Award-Winning Best Play Revival, Boeing-Boeing, has recouped its entire $2.65 million investment as of September 21. A 2009 Tour is also being planned.
