The story line of Blithe Spirit could be anyone's fantasy: return to life as a ghost and haunt your former spouse and newly betrothed partner. Such is the premise of Noel Coward's comedy opening May 4 at the Alhambra Theater & Dining for a four-week run. Blithe Spirit has been heralded as one of three jewels in Coward's crown. It's most recent Broadway and touring revival from starred Angela Lansbury received rave reviews around the country. The Alhambra performances will feature Lisa Valdini-Booth in the lead role of medium, Madame Arcati, who leads the seance that brings back the ghost of Charles Condomine's wife.

California Shakespeare Theater marks the beginning of its 25th season at the glorious Bruns Amphitheater with Shakespeare's sassiest battle royale, Much Ado About Nothing, in a newly-minted adaptation by Kenneth Lin and Jackson Gay, with additional text by Lin, and directed by Gay in her Cal Shakes debut. Sarah Stribley Productions and Anna Haigh Productions in association with Alchemist Theatricals present the European premiere of LAST OF THE BOYS by Steven Dietz. Directed by John Haidar, the production will run  11 May - Saturday 4 June 2016 with a press night on  Friday, 13 May 2016 at 8pm.

The award-winning composer and special guests perform selections from his catalog of stage and screen favorites like 'Magic to Do' from Pippin; 'When You Believe' from the DreamWorks' animated feature, The Prince of Egypt; 'Day By Day' from Godspell and several selections from the Broadway hit Wicked, including 'Defying Gravity.'

The full cast is announced today for the first ever large-scale stage production of Evelyn Waugh's classic novel Brideshead Revisited, adapted by Bryony Lavery, touring this spring and summer in the 50th anniversary year of Waugh's death.
