Young People's Theatre (YPT) is thrilled to open its 53rd Season with an event 40 years in the making: SHARON, BRAM & FRIENDS - A 40th Anniversary Sing-Along Celebration. This event is a special farewell benefit concert, offering one last chance to see Sharon and Bram, before they retire, in the place it all began back in 1978: the Mainstage at YPT.

September 27, 2018 - After celebrating their 40thAnniversary in style last year, X are ready to close out their 41styear with the announcement of their annual, west coast holiday show run. Beginning on November 23rdin San Francisco, for a pair of shows at the Fillmore, before heading north - hitting Petaluma, Portland and Seattle.  X then head back to Southern California for shows in LA, Orange Country and San Diego.   Joining the LA punk icons for the “A Los Angeles Story” tour will be Los Lobos, Jane Wiedlin's new band - Elettrodomestico and another “Special Guest.” See below for full itinerary and for specific show line-ups.

The Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation proudly presents the 8th SATCHMO Award to: jazz vocalist and songwriter Ms. Sheila Jordan. LAEF is returning to the historic Alhambra Ball Room in Harlem, where swing dancers, big bands and jazz vocalists once reigned supreme – Friday October 12th 8:00 – 10:00pm. 

Pacific Symphony and Classical KUSC 91.5FM have joined forces to launch a new classical music series of three Friday-night concerts designed to trim some of classical music's longhair image to present shorter, engaging programs in a casual and unstuffy atmosphere. Audiences are encouraged to dress casually. Each concert features fun, knowledge-enhancing activities before and after the program, making a complete experience of the evening. The series targets 25- to 45-year-olds who would like to know more about classical music, but these concerts can be enjoyed by everyone.

Theatre of Yugen and Five on a Match Present SEEN / BY EVERYONE - conceived by Amir Darvish and Meg MacCary, and co-written by Matthew Cohn, Amir Darvish, Meg MacCary, Enormvs Muñoz and Jen Taher. Directed by Theatre of Yugen's Artistic Director, Nick Ishimaru.

Utah Symphony | Utah Opera released impact figures from its educational outreach programs that found 40 percent of Utah public schools - and more than 157,000 students from combined free symphony and opera education programs - were served by the orchestra during the 2017-18 school year alone. Tony Award-winning director Richard Maltby, Jr. will be directing a limited engagement run of LOVE, LINDA, the stunning, one-woman tour de force musical and theatrical adventure starring acclaimed vocalist and musical theater actress Stevie Holland October 17th - November 10th at the Triad Theater, 158 West 72nd Street. The Nashville Association of Talent Directors (NATD) has announced six highly-respected honorees who will be recognized at the 8th Annual NATD Honors Gala scheduled for November 7, 2018, at the Hermitage Hotel. Tickets for the gala can be purchased here.

Calling all TV fans, the Tribeca TV Festival is back on the big screen bringing audiences together to discover new series and be the first to see favorite new season premieres. The 2nd Tribeca TV Festival will celebrate unforgettable storytellers who have shaped what 'peak TV' is today and introduce new voices in episodic storytelling. Over four days at Spring Studios in New York City, each event will feature a conversation with the stars and creators of favorite and soon-to-be-favorite shows. Artistic Director of Watford Palace Theatre, Brigid Larmour, today announces the Autumn Season with the centrepiece being the theatre's first produced Shakespeare in 10 years - Much Ado About Nothing with an all-female cast. Directed by Larmour, the production opens on 9 October with previews from 4 October and running until 27 October.

The Fabulous Fox Theatre announces new tickets prices for public tours. Tickets for the public tours are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, students, and children. Children two years old and younger are free.

Shakespeare & Company host its annual Fourth of July Community Celebration "We Hold These Truths" on their property at 70 Kemble Street, Lenox MA. This yearly event is an all-American Independence Day celebration with music, food, children's crafts and activities, and a public reading of one of the most stirring, and influential documents in our country's history, The Declaration of Independence.

Today, Saintseneca has announced a new album titled Pillar of Na, with its glistening lead single, 'Frostbiter.' NPR, who premiered the song on the All Songs Considered blog, is saying 'For Saintseneca, fatalistic gloom blends seamlessly with a kind of playful sprightliness: Zac Little's songs often simmer in a sad swirl of death and esoterica, but his deadpan ruminations are buoyed by the sounds of exotic instruments, candy-colored pop hooks and many points in between.'
