The show's music, by master composer Alan Menken (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Newsies, Aladdin), is in the style of 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, and includes several well-known tunes such as "Suddenly Seymour," "Somewhere That's Green" and the title song. The plot follows nerdy floral shop worker Seymour, who would do or give anything to gain the love of his co-worker Audrey. The depth of his desire is tested when a strange and menacing addition to his floral shop brings him sudden and unexpected popularity. Performances of Little Shop of Horrors are Tuesday, August 21 through Sunday, August 26 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.

With world-renowned auctioneer Barbara Strongin at the podium, Beneath the Gavel exposes the hidden agendas and dirty secrets of the art world. Since it roared into the spotlight - with its singular cast of people and puppets including Princeton, Kate Monster, Rod, Nicky, Trekkie, Christmas Eve, Gary Coleman and Lucy T. Slut - opening on Broadway on July 31, 2003, AVENUE Q has given over 6,000 performances, running seven years on Broadway before transferring to New World Stages in 2009, where it continues to play to large and happy houses.

Boundless Theatre Company (Maria-Cristina Fuste, Executive Artistic Director) will present a revival of Maria Irene Fornes' The Conduct of Life, directed by Elena Araoz. The production runs from September 7 through September 30 at Teatro Circulo, located at 64 East 4th Street. Opening Night is set for Saturday, September 15.

AVENUE Q is celebrating its 15th anniversary with two weeks of special unique performances at New World Stages as members of the musical's legendary original Broadway company and other AVENUE Q alumni return to perform beginning tonight with Jordan Gelber (Brian, 2003-09) & Ann Harada (Christmas Eve, 2003-09) and additional alumni continuing through Sunday, July 29, 2018.

Simon Reade's stage adaptation of Morpurgo's award-winning book garnered rave reviews throughout its 2017 and 2018 tours across Ireland, including 5-star reviews from The Guardian, The Sunday Herald, and The Irish Mail. Starring Shane O'Regan, his moving story of Tommo Peaceful's life, from growing up in rural England to enlisting to fight in the first World War, comes to Chicago's Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago, IL, October 17 through November 11-the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.

Irondale is proud to present the New York premiere of Sea of Common Catastrophe, a surreal multimedia theater work that grapples with complicity in the face of rapid urban change. Designed and directed by Jeff Becker, who leads a team of fellow New Orleans-based artists, Sea of Common Catastrophe follows three long-time residents of a tiny seaside town whose lives are uprooted when a compelling stranger arrives. Inspired by a passage from Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novella Sea of Lost Time-where a town drowns on a Sunday afternoon but persists, submerged, in its daily life, as if the deluge had never occurred-Sea of Common Catastrophe uses spectacular lighting and video, live music, and an innovative two-story set to evoke a changing landscape of upscale living and chic restaurants that suddenly transforms into a magical sunken world.

After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. Rebel Theatrical Management, LLC (Harvey Butler, producer), in association with The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, have announced, today, the cast and the creative team for the New York premiere of the new play Little Rock, written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj. Performances are set to begin Wednesday, May 30, 2018 for a limited run through September 8, 2018 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is set for Today, June 14, 2018 at 7:00PM.
