 A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, is bringing back its smash hit production of MICHAEL FRAYN's hilarious NOISES OFF from now until Saturday, May 26, 2018, reviving a critical and audience favorite for all to enjoy. Two performances on Saturday, May 26 were just added due to popular demand.

Music director Leon Botstein leads The Orchestra Now's (T?N) last New York City concert this season, titled Debussy & French Painting: Beyond Realism, in an afternoon comparing Debussy's Nocturnes and the artwork of the French Impressionists as part of the Orchestra's Sight & Sound series at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Hennepin Theatre Trust will launch its tenth round of Made Here with Avenues: Made Here on Wednesday, June 20. Avenues: Made Here commemorates and reflects upon the last five years of Made Here by showcasing a collection of previous Made Here artists that have participated since its inception in 2013.

Origin Theatre Company concludes its 15th season of producing the American premieres of plays by emerging European playwrights at its annual spring gala on Monday May 14, at 6:30pm. Hosted by Mutual of America, 320 Park Avenue, the evening features a smorgasbord of international pleasures, including rollicking musical entertainment, and appearances by a colorful cross-section of local and visiting theatre luminaries, business leaders and supporters of the arts.

Details were announced today for Opera Ball 2018: ¡Viva La Noche!, San Francisco Opera Guild's signature gala benefit inaugurating San Francisco Opera's 96th season on Friday, September 7. Presented in conjunction with the season-opening double bill of one-act operas, Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Ruggero Leoncavallo's Pagliacci (or Cav/Pag), Opera Ball 2018 is co-chaired by Shannon Cronan and Kathy Huber and features event design by J. Riccardo Benavides and a sumptuous dinner by McCalls Catering & Events. Last presented by San Francisco Opera 15 years ago, Cav/Pag returns next season in a staging by Argentine tenor, conductor and director Jose Cura that sets both Italian classics in La Boca, the Buenos Aires neighborhood known for its colorful architecture and live tango performances. Actors Co-op Theatre Company (Ovation Award-Winner 2017 Best Play, Intimate Theatre for 33 Variations) is proud to present the Tony nominated musical VIOLET, with music by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, based on the short story 'The Ugliest Pilgrim' by Doris Betts, directed by Richard Israel, produced by Thomas Chavira. Violet opens Friday, May 11 at 8:00 pm, and will run through Sunday, June 17 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. Queer|Art, NYC's home to creative and professional development for LGBTQ artists, is pleased to announce "BLACK SUMMER NIGHTS 2: SUMMER IN THE CITY," a special season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at West 3rd St.), May 14-August 20.

A cappella singing and New Age music align in a fascinating concert entitled Northern Lights presented by the National Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorale on Saturday, April 28, 8pm at the Music Center at Strathmore. Philharmonic Chorale Artistic Director Stan Engebretson leads a concert juxtaposing the rich traditions of Rachmaninoff's  Vespers with new sounds by popular Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo (pronounced Yay-lo) and local wunderkind composer Alistair Coleman, currently studying at the Juilliard School. The Philharmonic will also be joined at the piano by these two contemporary composers. In addition, the concert features guests from the Montgomery College Chorus and the Strathmore Children's Chorus. A pre-concert lecture by Philharmonic Associate Director Victoria Gau begins at 6:45pm in the Concert Hall. After the concert, Mr. Gjeilo and Mr. Coleman will join Artistic Director Stan Engebretson for a Member Q&A. THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present the debut of Israeli music and comedy star, Nansi Brandes on Thursday, April 19 at 8:00 PM. In a New York evening celebrating the 70th anniversary of Israel's independence, the musician and comedian returns to personal stand-up comedy. He shares humorous stories of his second marriage to a woman thirty years younger, his children and the long time he spent in the hospital, struggling against a small, violent, deadly bacterium that threatened to pass him on to the next world.

Opera Saratoga's Artistic and General Director Lawrence Edelson announced the complete casting and programming for the company's 2018 Summer Festival, which will feature new productions of four operas at The Spa Little Theater in Spa State Park, along with a wide variety of free and ticketed concert events from May 26th through July 15th at venues throughout the region. The GRAMMY Award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus presents Silent Voices: If You Listen, the second installment of its multimedia, multi-composer, and multi-year Silent Voices series of concert works with spoken word, conceived, produced and performed by Brooklyn Youth Chorus (April 27-28, at National Sawdust). Silent Voices: If You Listen builds on the success of Silent Voices' 2017 premiere at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House. Here, eight composers, all women, collaborate with the choristers in amplifying the voices of the marginalized and confronting the challenges of division and categorization, racism, sexism, social and economic disparity, immigration, our environment, and threats to our understanding of truth. Commissioned composers for Silent Voices: If You Listen include Julia Adolphe, Olga Bell, Anna Clyne, Paola Prestini, Toshi Reagon, Shelley Washington, Bora Yoon, and Pulitzer winner Du Yun; the concert will also feature a work with guest artist Shaina Taub. Unifying this work is the distinctively versatile and beautiful sound of the rigorously-trained singers - a chorus of culturally and socioeconomically diverse New York City young people, ages 12-18 - joined by International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE). These are young voices set on resisting the socio-politically retrograde elements of the present in a move towards a more inclusive and compassionate vision of the future.

Japan Society presents a staged reading of Manhood by Japanese playwright Hideto Iwai, led by director Sarah Hughes, taking place Monday, March 26 at 7:30 PM at Japan Society (333 East 47th Street). Manhood marks the 13th installment of the Society's Play Reading Series of contemporary Japanese plays in English translation, introducing topical plays from up-and-coming playwrights in Japan to artists and audiences in the U.S. This event, part of Japan Society's 110th Anniversary Season, aligns with the Spring 2018 Performing Arts focus on deepening the Society's relationship with New York artists.
