Join the Des Moines Community Playhouse on Oct. 27 for 'The Little Red Hen.' This story is part of the 2017-18 season of Friday Funday, a creative participatory story theatre program for children ages 4-6.

Lead casting is today announced for a 2018 UK tour of Terence Rattigan's classic family drama, The Winslow Boy - directed by Olivier Award-nominated Rachel Kavanaugh. Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools and Horses, Grantchester) stars as Grace Winslow wife of Arthur Winslow, played by Aden Gillett (House of Eliott, Holby City), the father who embarks on an extraordinary campaign for justice for his son.

The New School's College of Performing Arts presents the sixth edition of (Un)Silent Film Night, a performance series in which The College of Performing Arts Theater Orchestra performs live music to classic silent films. The full cast is announced for heart-warming new musical Son of a Preacher Man. PACS Music Director David Bernard devotes the entire 2017/18 season to his popular and highly-innovative concert format

'Hidden inside every classical concert is an experience that is as captivating as the most brilliant, immersive events produced today. And until now, audiences have been mostly limited to a distant, diluted experience that not only keeps the music at arm's length, but also blocks access to the incredible process of music-making that occurs in real time onstage," says David Bernard, music director of New York's Park Avenue Chamber Symphony (PACS).

This July, three Carnegie Hall concerts showcase some of the finest young teen musicians from across the United States and abroad in performances presented over three consecutive nights in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage.

The Recording Academy® will honor its 2017 Special Merit Awards recipients with an awards ceremony and live tribute concert on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at The Beacon Theatre in New York City.
