Politics, Parenting & Providence Are at the Heart of EnActe Arts' LETTERS TO A DAUGHTER FROM PRISON

Bay Area-based EnActe Arts is proud to announce a virtual adaptation of Letters to a Daughter from Prison, a play by Lavonne Mueller based on the letters between Jawaharlal Nehru and his adolescent daughter Indira, written between 1930 and 1942, before he became India's first Prime Minister. The original play made its debut in 1988 during the first International Festival of the Arts in New York City before going on to tour India. It has been adapted for this production by Deesh Mariwala (Director), Denzil Smith and Vinita Sud Belani (Founder and Artistic Director of EnActe Arts). 

Vivaldi's Tamerlano to be Released on Naïve's Vivaldi Edition

On October 2, Naïve Classiques will release Vivaldi's opera Il Tamerlano (Il Bajazet), the 65th release in the label's Vivaldi Edition. The series is devoted to newly rediscovered works of Vivaldi housed at the Biblioteca Nazionale in Turin.

Vancouver Fringe Announces Programming For September Festival Dates

The Vancouver Fringe Theatre Society announced today the programming for the Fringe Festivala??s September dates, which are September 10-20 and take place on Granville Island at Performance Works, Picnic Pavilion, and Yellow Crane Pad. Tickets are $15 and available online at www.vancouverfringe.com. The Fringe membership fee, which is required to purchase Festival tickets, starts at $7.
