The National Library will celebrate the performing arts in a major new exhibition that opens to the public. On Stage: Spotlight on Our Performing Arts runs Friday 4 March to Sunday 7 August 2022.  On Stage celebrates Australia's love of the performing arts.

New York City Opera will present Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's thrilling double bill, The Seven Deadly Sins & Mahagonny Songspiel, for the first time ever told as one story, a tragic fable for today.

On Friday, May 27, 2022, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra will release their new album, William Grant Still, on Naxos. This album includes world premiere recordings of 13 works by 20th-century composer William Grant Still and features solo violinist Zina Schiff with maestro Avlana Eisenberg leading the orchestra.

The previously unrecorded Drone Mass was described by its composer, the late Jóhann Jóhannsson, as “a contemporary oratorio.” Written for voices, string quartet and electronics, it was commissioned and premiered by the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, aka ACME, who toured and recorded with Jóhannsson for almost ten years.

Despite the complications that a modern perspective puts on the more prickly parts of the story, you can't help but be both moved and tickled by the show's iconic, perfectly crafted R&H songs. And fortunately, the beautiful and appropriately elegant production of 'Carousel' running at Vero Beach, Fla.'s Riverside Theatre now through Jan. 23 exemplifies why shows such as these continue to be revered staples in theaters around the country.

Moses, presents a Rodgers & Hammerstein classic and one of Broadway's great musicals, Carousel. Sponsored by Bill & Laura Frick and Bobbie Olsen and is presented by Riverside Theatre's Patron Producers Group, Carousel performs on the Stark Stage from January 4-23, 2022.   and Sundays at 2pm.

North Carolina Symphony principal cellist Bonnie Thron will join the quartet for Schubert's String Quintet in C major. Also on the program is Dvořák's String Quartet in D minor.

First seen in 1998, Michael Frayn’s fascinating but ultimately frustrating play, Copenhagen, explores several possibilities of what may have happened between the men.

The presentation is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the premiere musical staging at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater in 2011.
