Darko Tresnjak will step down as Hartford Stage's Artistic Director at the conclusion of the 2018-19 season. Tresnjak has served as the Tony Award-winning theatre's artistic leader since 2011. A national search will be conducted to find his replacement.

Porchlight Revisits They're Playing our Song is presented for three-nights-only Tuesday, March 6 through Thursday, March 8 at 7:15 p.m. and is performed on the set of Porchlight's Merrily We Roll Along (previews begin January 26) at Porchlight's new home, The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street. Tickets for They're Playing Our Song are $35.

San Diego Repertory Theatre announces the world premiere of Beachtown, the sixth production of its 42nd season. Beachtown, based on Beertown by dog & pony dc, is the most immersive, interactive production in the history of San Diego Rep. Written by the Rep's playwright-in-residence, Herbert Siguenza, with the play's associate director, Rachel Grossman, who is also the co-founder of dog & pony dc. She was a very strong woman and took control over her career in a way which was not common at that time. The story of her life has inspired Staffan Aspegren and Jan-Erik Saaf to write a musical about a part of her life. The world premier of the musical was the 9th of February at Östgotateatern in Linkoping, Sweden.
