Green Day, die 2015 sogar in die Rock`n`Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen wurden, bezeichneten das Konzeptalbum im Stile von „The Whos Tommy" schon zum Zeitpunkt der Veroffentlichung als 'Punk Rock Opera'.
