Sun King Teams with KINKY BOOTS for 'Heart & Sole' Beer in Indianapolis
This special brew will be available at the Sun King Tap Room and Small-Batch Brewery, Fishers beginning May 11, and at Clowes Memorial Hall the week of the show.
Inspired by true events, KINKY BOOTS takes you from a gentlemen's shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father's expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory's future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.
KINKY BOOTS opens at Clowes Memorial Hall May 16 and runs through May 21 for a limited one-week engagement. Tickets are available in person at Clowes Memorial Hall, the Old National Centre Ticket Office, online at BroadwayinIndianapolis.com, or by phone at 1-800-982-2787.
"HEART & SOLE" (ABV: 5.2%; IBU: 40) is a Cask-Conditioned British-Style Extra Special Bitter (ESB) produced for Broadway in Indianapolis' KINKY BOOTS. "HEART & SOLE" was produced with "Red X" malt and English hops for a balance of both maltiness and hoppiness, and color reflective of the boots it pays tribute to.
"HEART & SOLE" is the sixth brew created for a touring Broadway in Indianapolis production. The partnership's inaugural "Million Dollar Brewski" was created in 2011 for the engagement of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. In 2013, "American Idiot IPA" was crafted to celebrate the raucous, in-your-face production of AMERICAN IDIOT. 2014's "Cara Mia" was the dark and sexy brew made exclusively for THE ADDAMS FAMILY. 2015's "ALAKAZAM" was the blonde stout that mystified taste buds in honor of the magical spectacular, THE ILLUSIONISTS. And "Guy Meets Girl" was last season's Irish red paired brilliantly with the Tony Award-winning production of ONCE.
