The Bronx Museum of the Arts is proud to present Image of an Image, a new survey of the work of artist Rochelle Feinstein, a Bronx native, which will be on view November 7, 2018 through March 3, 2019. Deeply informed by abstraction, while also conveying a keen sensibility to and understanding of contemporary culture and our everyday use of language, Feinstein has spent four decades continually probing the relevance and possibilities of the abstract tradition in a culture constantly in flux.

Atlanta professional theatre artists, producers and patrons gather to celebrate the 2017-2018 season of plays and musicals at the 14th Annual Suzi Bass Awards on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 7pm, doors open at 6pm.  The event is being held at the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University, 4484 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319.

Back by popular demand, Mark Lockyer's critically acclaimed Living with the Lights On - produced by ATC - will tour the UK again in early 2019. This follows three previous UK and European sell-out tours and two sell-out runs at the Young Vic London.

Ms. Sarah Dash will premiere her new show, A Tribute To Aretha Franklin: The Queen Of Soul, in three cities this November. This special concert celebration will feature Sarah Dash singing All The Great Aretha Franklin Classics (including Respect, Chain Of Fools, Freeway Of Love, Ain't No Way, Jump To It), and telling inside stories of her friendship with The Queen. Bernard Purdy, who played in Ms. Franklin's band through the years, will be the musical director for Ms. Dash for these performances.

Encompass New Opera Theatre will present the World Premiere of Anna Christie with music by Edward Thomas, set to a libretto by Joseph Masteroff, with 12 performances beginning today, October 4, 2018 at 8pm and running through Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (at 55 Lexington Avenue, entrance on 25th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues) in Manhattan.

Stages Repertory Theatre presents the regional premiere of Emilio Rodriguez's powerful new play Swimming While Drowning, October 3-21, 2018. A poetic coming-of-age story centered in a homeless LGBTQ shelter, the play originally premiered in 2017 at Milagro Theatre in Portland, OR, to rave reviews and was a finalist for Best Original Script at the 2017 Drammy Awards.

As a divisive government turns neighbor against neighbor, Carolina risks everything to search for her pregnant daughter, Belen. While Carolina marches, her mother receives a surprise visit from someone who may hold the key to finding her. Together, they come up with a plan to bring Belen and her unborn child home. Will it work? Will they save her? Will they save themselves?

Interrobang Theatre Project is pleased to announce casting for the first show of its 2018-19 season: THE GOAT, OR WHO IS SYLVIA?, Edward Albee's provocative portrait of a marriage in flux, directed by Co-Artistic Director James Yost*.

Military families, veterans, and Luke Air Force Base employees enjoyed professional theatre performances during Arizona Broadway Theatre's Season 13 thanks to a generous grant from the Arizona Coyotes Foundation.  The 2017-18 grant, coordinated through the Arizona Community Foundation, made it possible for nearly 600 members of the Luke Air Force Base community to receive complimentary tickets for Broadway-style productions and children's theatre experiences at Arizona Broadway Theatre in Peoria. 

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' Live & Local Fridays concert series opens on Sept. 7 and showcases eight Arizona groups spanning rockabilly-honky tonk, indie-folk, African rhythms, blues, hip-hop, folk-rock, jazz, indie-rock and pop on Friday evenings through Sept. 28.

Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company (MJTC) opens its 24th season with What I Thought I Knew by Alice Eve Cohen. Jennie Ward returns to MJTC to direct (Collected Stories). 

Following his hugely successful and highly acclaimed first year as artistic director, Tom Littler is marking the start of his second year at the helm with a season of new work celebrating rebellious spirits. This includes the first UK production by award-winning British/American playwright Bathsheba Doran, the world premiere of a play about the maverick surrealist, Leonora Carrington, the revival of a modern Canadian classic and a rip-roaring, spine-chilling, body-snatching Christmas comedy.
