The 51st Annual Drama Desk Awards were presented on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 9:00 PM, at the LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. The annual awards honor excellence in theater for Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway during the season.

Tony award nominee Jan Maxwell has assumed the role of 'Kath' in Roundabout Theatre Company's 40th Anniversary Season Off-Broadway revival of Joe Orton's Entertaining Mr. Sloane directed by Scott Ellis. Maxwell joins previously announced cast members Alec Baldwin, Chris Carmack and Richard Easton.

The New Group production of Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party opened Off-Broadway on December 1, 2005 and BroadwayWorld was there! The show stars Max Baker, Lisa Emery, Darren Goldstein, Elizabeth Jasicki and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

English National Opera's (ENO) new production of Leonard Bernstein's ON THE TOWN begins March 5, 2005 at the London Coliseum (Press Night March 10, 2005). There will be 17 performances playing in repertory until May 24, 2005.
