The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of THE METROMANIACS by supremely clever playwright David Ives (All in the Timing, Time Flies). This uproarious new 'translaptation' of a classic French farce, Alexis Piron's La Metromanie, will be directed by one of America's most renowned stage directors, Michael Kahn, presented in association with Shakespeare Theatre Company.

1996's mega hit British farce Cash on Delivery is an exceedingly hilarious romp through an unemployed man's out-of-control experiences with social security fraud. Written by Michael Cooney, son of well-known British actor/playwright Ray Cooney, the play builds an affecting series of misunderstandings, mistaken identities and all-out silliness that prevail when Eric Swan (Jim Mahoney) attempts to fraudulently kill off the people - out of guilt - whose government checks he has been collecting illegally. Now onstage at the El Portal, Ray Cooney has directed evenly and with dynamite pacing, guaranteeing fool-proof laughter with a terrific cast, through December 20 only.

The EEK! Theatre Company brings you the Christmas comedy showcase "A Very Merry Mother-F@#$ing Christmas", a collection of sketches and comedy acts to celebrate the ha-ha-ha-lidays.  The performance will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 7:30pm at Gorilla Tango Theatre, 1919 N. Long Island's only off season holiday horror show, Chamber of Horrors NY, is bringing Santa back to make sure haunt goers continue to fear the naughty list. Christmas and H0-H0-H0RROR go together perfectly during A VERY SCARY XMAS PART 2, featuring Nightmare on 34th St. and The Elf Asylum. The haunt promises double the fear as you are stalked by Santa and his minions of cannibalistic elves, zombie snowmen and other twisted Christmas characters.

This holiday, DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre will present The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a classic Christmas comedy written by Barbara Robinson.  It's a story about hardship, discovery, and making a difference in the lives of others, which in turn makes a difference in our own.
