Liverpool-based theatre company Cuckootales, present a brand new and enchanting family show, Pinocchio: The Boy Within - coming to The Epstein Theatre on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 July.

Today on World Refugee Day, public television's WORLD Channel announces the lineup of films for season 3 of Doc World, a series that showcases stories that dive deep into the heart of international issues, giving viewers a chance to understand the lives and concerns of people beyond U.S. borders. The first three films of the season entitled: Sky and Ground, Los Comandos, and Towards the North, all follow refugees fleeing their homes in search of asylum.

When Houston Grand Opera (HGO) opened its first season in Houston's new opera house at the Wortham Theater Center in 1987, world-renowned tenor Placido Domingo starred in Verdi's Aida. Now, just over 30 years later, Domingo will again take the Wortham stage on September 26 for HGO and Placido-Coming Home!, a gala evening celebrating the company's return to its creative home after a year of displacement following Hurricane Harvey. Joined by beloved Houston soprano Ana Maria Martinez and the HGO Orchestra conducted by HGO Artistic and Music Director Patrick Summers, Domingo will perform an evening of operatic and popular musical favorites. The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., will be followed by a celebration dinner in the Ballroom at Bayou Place.

Joe's Pub at The Public is thrilled to announce a new showcase presented in association with Showtime Networks, called The SHOWTIME Salon Series, launching in May 2018. Carnegie Hall today announced that Rhiannon Giddens, Toshi Reagon, and Young Paris will join Broadway's Carrie Compere (The Color Purple) as guest artists for A Time Like This: Music for Change, a special concert on Sunday, March 11 at 3:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage hosted by Def Jam Poetry veteran Lemon Andersen and featuring a nineteen-piece band led by Kenny Seymour (Amazing Grace, Memphis). Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA will officially close on January 28, 2018, after the presentation throughout Southern California of hundreds of concurrent exhibitions, programs, and events about Latin American and Latino art. The East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2017 - 2018 season was announced today. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, the new season will play at the historic Saenger Theatre in downtown New Orleans beginning fall 2017.
