Commission Theatre (CT) presents CLEARING, a social drama by Beth Hyland. CLEARING will be directed by Claire Reinhart. The opening night and press performance will take place on Friday June 8th at 8pm with Today - Saturday performances through June 23rd. This is the first production of Commission Theatre's 2018 season.

Acclaimed American composer Debra Kaye's Howland Quartet (String Quartet No. 2), commissioned and presented by the Howland Chamber Music Circle, will celebrate its world premiere on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 4:00 PM. The concert will also include Beethoven's Cavatina from String Quartet in B-flat Major, Op. 130, Britten's Playful Pizzicato from Simple Symphony, Op. 4, Mendelssohn's Adagio-Allegro vivace from String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor, Philip Glass' Quartet No. 2, and Pannonia Boundless by Aleksandra Vrebalov. The 25TH Anniversary Friends Concert program, featuring the Voxare String Quartet, will take place at the historic Howland Cultural Center, 477 Main Street, Beacon, NY at 4:00 PM.

New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings.
