The Country Music Association visited Los Angeles Wednesday, Oct. 10 with multi-platinum superstar duo and Tree Vibez Music founders Florida Georgia Line, joined by Corey Crowder, Ernest K., HARDY, RaeLynn and Canaan Smith. During the trip, the songwriters met with students from Harmony Project for conversations about songwriting, followed by a sold-out CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank performance at The Novo.  

2019 School Year The Arts Access Initiative (AAI) is an action plan for ensuring equitable arts access for every K-8 Houston Independent School District student. This coalition -- led by Young Audiences of Houston and including Houston ISD Fine Arts Department leaders as well as stakeholders from many sectors -- works together to advance student arts access through partnerships, data collection, advocacy and strategy. 

Cleveland Play House (CPH) brings to life Lynn Nottage's complex story of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Rust Belt drama Sweat.  Set in Reading, PA, this relevant story offers audience members suspense through its intricate portrayal of characters battling to survive in a city crippled by economic stagnation. CPH Artistic Director Laura Kepley will direct. Previews begin on October 13th, with press opening on October 19th at the Outcalt Theatre in Playhouse Square. Magnet Theater presents The Tenth Annual New York Musical Improv Festival from October 18-21, 2018 at 254 W. 29th Street, ground floor (between 7th and 8th Avenues), NYC. In a year of celebrating the achievements of women in country music, CMT today announced that Loretta Lynn will be honored with the “Artist of a Lifetime” award presented by Ram Trucks at this year's all-female “CMT Artists of the Year” event premiering live Wednesday, October 17 at 8:00 PM ET/PT. Academy Award winner and “Coal Miner's Daughter” actress Sissy Spacek will bestow the award to Lynn, who joins previous recipients of the honor including Shania Twain (2016), Kenny Rogers (2015), and Merle Haggard (2014).
