An evening of song and swing awaits local music lovers as Philadelphia Theatre Company presents The Summer Club: A Big Band Valentine's Day. Cupid shoots his arrow down music's memory lane this February 14th as audiences are transported to an era when clubs were hot, everyone dressed up and martinis came straight up.

Mosaic Theater Company of DCtakes its acclaimedVoices From a Changing Middle East Festival on tour this winter, bringing several of its seminal Festival productions (I SHALL NOT HATE, VIA DOLOROSA, and the recent film adaptation of WRESTLING JERUSALEM) to the University of Oklahoma, Grinnell College, and Eastern Mennonite University for presentations of each project, and culminating in a special evening at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts where excerpts from all three works will be shared in a single evening. The tour reflects different dimensions of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the efforts to achieve reckoning and reconciliation through live performance and discussion, in works performed in English, Arabic, and Hebrew (with translated surtitles).

Victory Gardens Theater announces Jess McLeod and Aaron Todd Douglas as the 2018 Next Generation Fellows. Beginning in February 2018, the Next Generation Fellowship will provide comprehensive mentorship, requisite training, and experience for these future leaders of color, preparing them to helm arts institutions or departments on the national and local level. The program is made possible by a generous grant from The Field Foundation of Illinois.

The Found Theatre of Long Beach is pleased to host 'Let's Create: A New Play Festival,' produced by California State University, Long Beach theatre department alumni Natalie Cruz and Tyler Bremer, and designed to showcase the work of young theatre artists, including writers, directors, actors, technicians and designers.

Doric Wilson's award-winning satire, STREET THEATER about the evening of the Stonewall riots, returns to the Eagle Bar for a limited run September 20 - October 4. The production is produced by TOSOS (The Other Side of Silence), New York City's Oldest LGBTQ Theatre and is the first play of their 2017-18 Season. TOSOS Artistic Director, Mark Finley directs. Community Matters at People's Light aims to spark conversation about relevant issues in the community with a diverse array of perspectives and voices. People's Light is proud to announce Sanjit De Silva, James Ijames, Deepa Purohit, and Laura Schellhardt as the participating playwrights in the second round of the company's groundbreaking New Play Frontiers Residency & Commission program. The playwrights officially begin the program on July 9, 2017, in conjunction with the final performance of Project Dawn by Karen Hartman, the first New Play Frontiers play to premiere at People's Light. This second round of residencies and commissions, along with the production of Project Dawn, are made possible in part by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
