Celebrating one year since the re-launch as Kiln Theatre, Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham today announces the full cast for Samuel Adamson's Wife. Rubasingham directs Richard Cant (Peter/Ivar at 58/Landlord), Karen Fishwick (Daisy/Clare), Pamela Hardman (Character Actress /Marjorie/Embassy Assistant), Joshua James (Robert/Finn/Ivar at 28), Calam Lynch (Eric/Cas) and Sirine Saba (Suzannah). The production opens on 4 June, with previews from 30 May, and runs until 6 July, coinciding with London's Pride parade.

Hello, Broadway World!  So last week, I talked about my college's social justice based season, and this week, I want to talk about something kind of related, but also different.  A few weeks ago, I had my Theatre Student Review, which is a process at my school wherein each theatre student meets with the theatre faculty every March to discuss our progress and prepare for the future.  It can be a little bit scary, but this year, I was given an exciting challenge -- create the next season for our company.  

Love hurts, and for some couples, that's the point. Over the course of 30 years, the lives of Kayleen and Doug intersect at the most bizarre intervals, leading the two childhood friends to compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together.

You might think a play written 140 years ago in Norway about a wife's subservience would no longer be relevant in 2019 America. But the director of "A Doll's House," opening April 19 at the Players' Ring in Portsmouth contends Henrik Ibsen's classic play about women's empowerment is as relevant today as it ever was.

Artistic Director Chris Coleman has announced the 41st season of the DCPA Theatre Company, the producing regional theatre arm of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA). Almost 50 years ago, Bunny filed the lawsuit that turned into Title IX and made sex discrimination illegal in higher education. In this one-woman show, Rora Brodwin, Bunny's great niece, tells her story. Bunny, The Godmother of IX will be performed for one night only at Dixon Place in NYC on March 14th at 7:30pm.

David Mirvish in a co-production with the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre presents A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 by Lucas Hnath. Starring four outstanding Canadian actors and directed by Krista Jackson, this brilliant and audacious play is performed March 23 to April 14, 2019 at Toronto's CAA Theatre as part of the Off-Mirvish Season. 

Writers Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma announce the company's 2019/20 six play season, opening with Into the Woods, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by James Lapine, and directed by Gary Griffin in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre. The season will continue with The Niceties, written by Eleanor Burgess and directed by Marti Lyons; Lydia R. Diamond's Stick Fly, directed by Ron OJ Parson; and Mementos Mori, created by Manual Cinema. A new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, adapted by Sandra Delgado and Michael Halberstam and directed by Lavina Jadhwani, will open the season in the Gillian Theatre, followed by Anna Ziegler's The Last Match, directed by Keira Fromm.

The 2017 Tony Award nominee for Best Play, A Doll's House, Part 2, makes its Seattle debut at Seattle Rep this spring, helmed by the extraordinary talents of Michael Winters (The Cider House Rules) and Pamela Reed (The Humans, 2017). Written by Tony Award nominee Lucas Hnath and directed by Seattle Rep Artistic Director Braden Abraham, A Doll's House, Part 2 runs March 15 - April 28, 2019 (opening night is March 20, 2019) on the Leo K. stage. Today, Carole Shorenstein Hays and Sonia Friedman Productions with Tom Kirdahy announced the additional casting for the West Coast Premiere of the Good Chance Theatre, National Theatre and Young Vic production of THE JUNGLE by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson at San Francisco's Curran. Set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp in Calais, France, the Jungle became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people in 2015. Under the direction of Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, the limited engagement begins Tuesday March 26, 2019 and will run through Sunday, May 19, 2019. Opening night is Thursday, April 4, 2019.
