North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre partners with Actors Comedy Lab to present 'an alternative holiday production': Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol by Tom Mula.

Every year you hear the same Christmas songs on the radio and sit through another (uneventful) screening of 'It's a Wonderful Life." If you need a reprieve from all of those same-old-same-old holiday traditions, then you'll want to catch the return of Dad's Garage outrageous and irreverent 'Invasion: Christmas Carol," a unique performance that combines scripted theatre and improv comedy into an outrageous helping of yuletide hilarity. This show has become one of our fan-favorites, having been voted "Best Show" by the readers of Creative Loafing, expect sold-out audiences and lots of laughs.

Quality Hill Playhouse continues its annual tradition of presenting holiday music in a cabaret setting when CHRISTMAS IN SONG opens November 23. The production features the theatre company's signature blend of sacred and secular Christmas songs, including beloved carols ("Silent Night," "Go Tell It On The Mountain," "Joy to the World!"), classical favorites ("O Holy Night," "Ave Maria"), popular tunes ("White Christmas," Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song," Barry Manilow's "Because It's Christmas"), songs from treasured holiday television specials ("Christmas Time Is Here" from A Charlie Brown Christmas, "The Peace Carol" and "When The River Meets The Sea" from John Denver and The Muppets: A Christmas Together), and even a few hilarious surprises. Vocalists Lauren Bradshaw, Brad Dawdy, and Lindsey McKee, led by pianist/emcee J. Kent Barnhart, will lighten the hearts and souls of audiences with the wonder and joy of the season through some of its most beautiful music.

American Blues Theater announces the addition of five new Ensemble members and one new Artistic Affiliate to the Blues family. Joining the Ensemble is director, designer and Associate Producer Elyse Dolan, who directed several works in past Ripped and Blue Ink festivals; designer Jared Gooding, lighting designer of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story; actor Philip Earl Johnson, who is slated to appear in the upcoming Chicago premiere of Steven Dietz's On Clover Road; director Chuck Smith, director of the recent American Blues production of Pearl Cleage's Flyin' West; and actress and playwright Wandachristine, who won many awards for her solo performance Beauty's Daughter. Actor Zachary Stevenson has been named an Artistic Affiliate. Stevenson recently made his Chicago debut as 'Buddy Holly' in American Blues Theater's Joseph Jefferson Award-winning musical Buddy - the Buddy Holly Story, in which he also won a Jeff Award for Performance in a Musical.

Executive and Artistic Director Keith Gerth and Associate Artistic Director Stephen Smith announce Oil Lamp Theater's 2018 holiday show, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry. This special presentation, directed by Keith Gerth, will be performed from November 29 through December 30, 2018 - with extra Saturday matinees and Sunday evening performances added -- at 1723 Glenview Road, Glenview.

Pandora is thrilled to be the first theatre company in the country to present Mr. Wilkinson's work. Pandora will host the playwright during the run of his show in Louisville on Saturday, November 17th with a reception following the performance.

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces principal company for its major revival of one of the world's most-beloved musicals of all time, Fiddler on the Roof, in a new staging by Trevor Nunn. Actor Patrick Cassidy, best known for his roles in musical theatre and television, headlines Some Enchanted Evening ~ A Night of Broadway Song & Dance to benefit Inland Pacific Ballet, the professional ballet company based in the Inland Empire. This 2nd annual intimate cabaret evening features song and dance by Inland Pacific Ballet dancers and Academy students, cocktails, hor d'oeuvres, dessert, silent/live auction, and is hosted by IPB Associate Director Jonathan Sharp (The Red Shoes, Carousel, The Rocky Horror Show Live, The Dance of the Vampires, Fiddler on the Roof).
