Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces that its inaugural production, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, extends through December 30, 2010, adding six performances to its run in the iconic Fichandler Stage.

As Arena Stage begins a new life in its renovated home at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C., it opens its inaugural season with a classic American musical that similarly embraces life on a new frontier. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. Oklahoma's baledger.com is reporting that Broadway's Kristin Chenoweth has been inducted in the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Chenoweth, who hails from Broken Arrow Oklahoma, is joined in the 83rd inductee class by Robert A. Hefner, III, Oklahoma City; Edward L. Keller, Tulsa; Judy Love, Oklahoma City; Michael C. Turpen, Oklahoma City; and Lew O. Ward, III, Enid.
National Asian Artists Project Presents All Asian Re-Staging Of OKLAHOMA! 10/25

National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) and Nikole Vallins presents New York's first fully staged-reading of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! with a professional all Asian-American cast on Monday, October 25th. The one-night only performance will be October 25 at 7:00 PM at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street at 9th Avenue). Tickets are $21.25 and available through Telecharge.com.
