Last night during an exclusive Member event, Michael Gennaro, Goodspeed's Executive Director, announced the next season at The Goodspeed along with two tremendous new musicals set for The Terris Theatre.

Single tickets for Arizona Theatre Company's (ATC) productions of the irresistible musical tribute to the power of hope, The Music Man, and August Wilson's Two Trains Running will go on sale Oct. 1. 

PAWS/LA, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit agency serving people and pets in need, will present a one night only concert/staged reading of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. With book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner and directed by Randy Brenner, this benefit event is set to feature Broadway stars (in alphabetical order) Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening), Barrett Foa (Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Mamma Mia!), Carly Hughes (Chicago, Pippin, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Ghost the Musical, The Book of Morman, Ragtime), Tracie Thoms (Rent, Falsettos), and more to be announced. Musical director is Jake Anthony and Andrew Carlberg is the producer.

Today Envision Festival announced the 2019 music lineup for the ninth edition of this community built 4-day music & arts festival on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Primary Stages announced today that its 2018 Gala will take place on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 6:30 pm. The event, which will be held at Tribeca 360º (10 Desbrosses Street), will honor Tony nominees Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins, The Music Man) and Danny Burstein (Fiddler on the Roof, South Pacific); Eleanor Holtzman, trailblazing marketing executive and Primary Stages Board Member; and Jose M. The Stratford Festival is amending its 2019 playbill to include the 20th-century classic The Front Page, one of the great satires about the world of journalism, by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur.

Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre's spring 2017 production of Hello, Dolly!won three awards from the International Music and Entertainment Association. The awards were announced at a ceremony on June 16 at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The three recipients are Jackie Laurence of Quakertown for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Musical, Kyle Rodgers of Telford (Montgomery County) for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical, and George Kinsley of Langhorne for Outstanding Scenic Design of a Musical.

Transport Group has announced its 2018-2019 mainstage season of two productions: Renascence, a world premiere musical about a radical and reckless poet and The Trial of the Catonsville Nine, a play about the trial that sparked a national wave of Vietnam War resistance. Renascence will run October 5 - November 17, 2018 and The Trial of the Catonsville Nine will run January 16 - February 23, 2019. Both productions will be presented at the Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand Street, New York City. Transport Group season memberships are now on sale on their website: transportgroup.org. BoHo Theatre is excited to announce its 15th Anniversary season under the leadership of incoming Artistic Director Stephen Schellhardt. The company's 2019 season will include a trio of stories focusing on characters in search of human connections. "These three shows are stories that need to be told now, by BoHo," Schellhardt says. "Experiencing these shows in an intimate space, which is one of BoHo's signature strengths, will help illuminate the central stories and human relationships." Schellhardt has also signaled BoHo's continuing commitment to being an incubator for diverse, up-and-coming Chicago talent by creating safe, supportive artistic environments for our artists to experiment and grow. With these goals in mind, BoHo Theatre's 2019 season will feature Steve Martin and Edie Brickell's bluegrass musical BRIGHT STAR, the intimate thriller THE RIVER by Jez Butterworth; and the whimsical and imaginative musical BIG FISH by Andrew Lippa and John August.

The Apollo Theater today announced that it will bring to its iconic stage two new performances that continue its commitment to articulating and projecting the African American narrative through arts and culture.  In October 2018, The Apollo will celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud," the Godfather of Soul James Brown's seminal Black Power anthem, with the premiere of Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud at 50 under the musical direction of six-time GRAMMY®- Award-winner Christian McBride.  In May of 2019, in a co-production between The Apollo, Baltimore Center Stage, and Mosaic Theater, Kelvin Roston Jr. will pay homage to Donny Hathaway in the New York premiere of the one man play Twisted Melodies.  Tickets for both productions will go on sale July 1st.
