Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) and Tony Award-winning actress Jessie Mueller (Waitress, Carousel) star in this semi-staged concert production of the American favorite and six-time Tony Award-winning musical. Traveling salesman Harold Hill cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize... despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef! His plans to skip town are foiled when he falls for Marian, the town librarian.

Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre's spring 2017 production of Hello, Dolly!won three awards from the International Music and Entertainment Association. The awards were announced at a ceremony on June 16 at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The three recipients are Jackie Laurence of Quakertown for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Musical, Kyle Rodgers of Telford (Montgomery County) for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical, and George Kinsley of Langhorne for Outstanding Scenic Design of a Musical.

Transport Group Announces The 2018-2019 Season Featuring World Premiere Musical RENASCENCE

Transport Group has announced its 2018-2019 mainstage season of two productions: Renascence, a world premiere musical about a radical and reckless poet and The Trial of the Catonsville Nine, a play about the trial that sparked a national wave of Vietnam War resistance. Renascence will run October 5 - November 17, 2018 and The Trial of the Catonsville Nine will run January 16 - February 23, 2019. Both productions will be presented at the Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand Street, New York City. Transport Group season memberships are now on sale on their website: transportgroup.org. Casting and additional staffing announcements and single ticket sales will be available at a later date.

BoHo Theatre is excited to announce its 15th Anniversary season under the leadership of incoming Artistic Director Stephen Schellhardt. The company's 2019 season will include a trio of stories focusing on characters in search of human connections. "These three shows are stories that need to be told now, by BoHo," Schellhardt says. "Experiencing these shows in an intimate space, which is one of BoHo's signature strengths, will help illuminate the central stories and human relationships." Schellhardt has also signaled BoHo's continuing commitment to being an incubator for diverse, up-and-coming Chicago talent by creating safe, supportive artistic environments for our artists to experiment and grow. With these goals in mind, BoHo Theatre's 2019 season will feature Steve Martin and Edie Brickell's bluegrass musical BRIGHT STAR, the intimate thriller THE RIVER by Jez Butterworth; and the whimsical and imaginative musical BIG FISH by Andrew Lippa and John August.

The Apollo Theater today announced that it will bring to its iconic stage two new performances that continue its commitment to articulating and projecting the African American narrative through arts and culture.  In October 2018, The Apollo will celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud," the Godfather of Soul James Brown's seminal Black Power anthem, with the premiere of Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud at 50 under the musical direction of six-time GRAMMY®- Award-winner Christian McBride.  In May of 2019, in a co-production between The Apollo, Baltimore Center Stage, and Mosaic Theater, Kelvin Roston Jr. will pay homage to Donny Hathaway in the New York premiere of the one man play Twisted Melodies.  Tickets for both productions will go on sale July 1st.
