A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS cast member Burgandy Williams will perform at The 2018 Emery Awards this evening - Wednesday, November 7, 2018 - at Cipriani Wall Street (55 Wall Street, NYC). Ms. Williams was a performer at last year's ceremony, singing Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady."  She returns this year with another Queen of Soul classic - "Respect." The event will be hosted by Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (NBC's "Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert"), and also features a performance from singer We McDonald (2017 finalist on NBC's "The Voice").

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and the Barbican Theatre have today announced that, following its overwhelming sell-out success in 2016 and 2017 at the Open Air Theatre, Jesus Christ Superstar transfers to the Barbican Theatre for just 60 performances in 2019 (4 July - 24 August). Earlier this year the production played the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and it embarks on a North American Tour in the Autumn of 2019.

John Legend, who this past weekend earned coveted EGOT status after winning an Emmy Award as a producer for “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert,” will serve as a coach on the upcoming spring cycle of NBC's four-time Emmy-winning musical competition series “The Voice.” Legend will be joined by returning music superstar coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and host Carson Daly.

Following a sold-out performance in 2017, The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Concert returns to Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, for a three-night engagement on Friday, October 26th; Wednesday, October 31; and Thursday, December 13, 2018. Heath Saunders (Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812, Jesus Christ Superstar Live) and Natalie Walker (Puffs: Or, Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic), will reprise their roles as Jack and Sally, joined by Ashley C. Conor Begley has struck gold for Bardic Theatre this past weekend having been chosen as the 2017/18 winner of AIMS 'Best Actor' Award for his recent portrayal of Judas Iscariot in Bardic's dazzling production of Jesus Christ Superstar earlier this year.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) announces that each show of its 2018 Nutmeg Summer Series, "Disaster!", "Sweeney Todd: A Musical Thriller in Concert," and "Jesus Christ Superstar," will have performances interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL) through a partnership with UConn's Center for Students (CSD) with Disabilities. ASL interpreted performances will take place during the Saturday matinee performances on June 16 for "Disaster!", June 30 for "Sweeney Todd: A Musical Thriller in Concert", and July 21 "Jesus Christ Superstar".

On June 5, 2018, the Fulton Theatre launches The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the theatre's season finale and biggest production of the 2017/2018 season.  The Hunchback of Notre Dame will also be one of the largest shows in the theatre's one hundred sixty six year history.
