Back by popular demand, Bucks County Playhouse's Storytelling Series returns this fall with a new name and expanded opportunities to hear and see renowned storytellers live on stage. The opening performance of the new WORD OF MOUTH series features two special guests: Ophira Eisenberg (host of NPR's 'Ask Me Another') and Jeff Rudell (recent contestant on the new NBC hit show, 'Making It' with Amy Poelher and Nick Offerman). The fall series features monthly performances, two shows a night at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on September 28, October 19, November 16 and December 14. Shakespeare's Globe has announced casting for the Winter Season 2018, its plans for a year-long cycle of history plays from February 2019, and Globe Associates, to include Sean Holmes, who is to become Associate Artistic Director.

Winner of 19 major accolades, including multiple Tony, Olivier and Drama Desk Awards, Stephen Daldry's (Billy Elliot, The Crown) multi award-winning production of J.B. Priestley's classic thriller An Inspector Calls will kick off a four-city U.S. tour at Shakespeare Theatre Company from November 20 through December 23, 2018.

NST Associate Director Blanche McIntyre directs Lydia Bewley, best known for The Inbetweeners, Plebs and E4's comedy Drifters, Elizabeth Boag, Anna Fordham, Lisa Kerr, Anne Odeke and Alicia Mckenzie. The production, in association with Oxford Playhouse, sees some of the UK's most influential female voices, Wendy Cope, Jenny Eclair, Suhayla El-Bushra, Natalie Haynes, Shappi Khorsandi, Jess Phillips MP and Brona C Titley, come together to write this musical comedy based on the Greek classic, The Assemblywomen. The production opens on 13 September at NST City, with previews from 6 September and runs until 29 September. It will then run at Oxford Playhouse from 3 - 6 October.

The last day of the BMI Stage at Lollapalooza features six emerging acts that will have the crowds buzzing with excitement. The stage opens with the music of dream-pop sensation Morgan Saint and popular folk-rocker Van William, formerly of Port O'Brien and Waters.

The cast is announced today for the European premiere of Jordan Seavey's Homos, or Everyone in America at the Finborough Theatre. Josh Seymour directs Tyrone Huntley (The Academic), Harry McEntire (The Writer), Dan Krikler (Dan) and Cash Holland (Laila). 3 Girls Theater Company presents the 2018 edition of its New Works Festival, this year taking place at Z Below in the Mission District. Now in its 7thyear, this year's festival is designed around the theme of "Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble," a line lifted from Shakespeare's MacBeth where three witches acting as prophets not only foretell the future, but then apply all their natural talents, inclinations and cooking skills to make it happen before serving it all up as a nice meal at their new pop-up, Burnham Wood and Dunsinane.

BRON Studios has come on as a producer of Oscar® winner John Ridley's NEEDLE IN A TIMESTACK.  Zanne Devine, David Thwaites and BRON'S Aaron L. Gilbert are producing and today announced that Tony and Grammy Award winner Leslie Odom Jr., BAFTA nominee Freida Pinto, Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Cynthia Erivo, and SAG award winner Orlando Bloom will star.  Ridley will direct and is adapting from a short story by Robert Silverberg where a couple work to hold their marriage together in a world where time travel is possible, and the past and present are ever fluctuating.

ACTUAL JEOPARDY! is doing their first ever theme show featuring some of Toronto's most clever radio personalities. On Wednesday, May 31 the show welcomes TOM POWER (host of q on CBC), LANA GAY (Indie88, Polaris Podcast), and MAURIE SHERMAN (Roz and Mocha, 92.5). They will match wits and wisdom as they go up against the big board and our ever genial and somewhat snarky host, Alex Trebek (Jan Caruana).

The 2018-2019 season draws on the words of artists from Toronto and around the world, a season of 'giving voice' (Paroles manifestes) echoing the theme of 'outbursts' (Eclats manifestes) from TfT's 50th season. Audiences are invited to discover not only why key artists take position today, but also how. As such, each production is an exploration of "theatre as language", and how messages, arguments and joy are uniquely expressed through theatre.  According to TfT's Artistic Director: 'Each play is an opportunity to discover the Other through their story and how they choose to tell it'.

Paramount Theatre presents The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening With Cary Elwes. Known for playing Westley in Rob Reiner's iconic The Princess Bride, CARY ELWES has enjoyed a successful career in film, and has most recently taken on the role of author. 

ENSEMBLE THEATRE COMPANY (in a co-production with the ENGLISH THEATRE FRANKFURT) is thrilled to announce the fourth show of its 2017-2018 Season, a witty and provocative new thriller, THE INVISIBLE HAND, written by Ayad Akhtar (Disgraced) and directed by Jonathan Fox. THE INVISIBLE HAND begins previews on Thursday, April 12, opens on Saturday, April 14, and runs through Sunday, April 29, 2018 at The New Vic, 33 W. Victoria Street in Santa Barbara. The production will then transfer to the English Theatre Frankfurt on May 9, 2018.

Long Wharf Theatre, under the direction of Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, presents Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, directed by Brendon Fox.

According to Deadline, ABC's newest pilot is set to star Leighton Meester, Taran Killam and Brad Garrett. The show is called SINGLE PARENTS, and comes from Liz Meriwether (NEW GIRL creator), writer J.J. Philbin, and 20th Century FOX TV. Read more about it from Deadline here!

Lantern Theater Company continues its record-smashing 24th season with The Tempest by William Shakespeare. Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest actors: Chris Anthony, Peter DeLaurier, J Hernandez, Dave Johnson, John Lopes, Bi Jean Ngo, Ruby Wolf, and Frank X. Performances run Thursday, March 15 through Sunday, April 29, 2018; a full schedule is included in the fact sheet below. The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Bedlam, the acclaimed New York based theatre company, with a fresh kinetic look at two plays with four actors, playing 49 characters in William Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw's most famous creations, side by side, Hamlet and Saint Joan, in repertory April 5 to 15 at The Broad Stage. This engagement will be the company's West-Coast debut.
