In 2020, 14 of movie history's greatest romances, funniest comedies, scariest monsters, boldest visions, ultimate adventures, and most unforgettable dramas will be back in movie theaters across the country as Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies present the fourth annual, yearlong TCM Big Screen Classics series.

American Symphony Orchestra comes to Alice Tully Hall for the holiday season with a concert titled Sons of Bach on Thursday, December 19 at 8 PM. The program will offer rarely-performed works by four of J.S. Bach's sons, showcasing the compositional mastery the young men learned from their father, and also revealing how each was able to develop his own unique style.

Today, Mikiko Miyakawa, the New York-based composer/pianist, originally from Japan, announced that her classical piano album 'Elegy In Violet' was released Sept. 20 by Centaur Records. Mikiko is a former new wave keyboardist and manager to Eiko Shuri.

American Symphony Orchestra announced the 58th season of its three-concert Vanguard series at Carnegie Hall, now expanded to include an additional performance at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. The season also marks the return of the Orchestra's popular series to New York City's Symphony Space-which originally took place between 1998 and 2015-with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in conjunction with the ASO's celebration of the great composer's 250th birthday. This series combines complete concerts of well-known, major orchestral works with interactive educational demonstrations. The full 2019-20 season runs from October 31, 2019 through March 12, 2020.

The American Symphony Orchestra will present Sounds of the American Century, the next concert in its Vanguard series at Carnegie Hall, on Friday, January 25 at 8 pm. People's Choice Awards' will honor Bryan Stevenson, civil rights icon and founder of Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), with the first-ever People's Champion Award during the live awards show on Sunday, November 11th at 9p ET/PT. Stevenson is being recognized for his profound and lasting impact in the fight for equality, acceptance and justice for all Americans. Critically acclaimed, multi-award winning singer-songwriter and philanthropist John Legend will present the award and also perform during a tribute to Mr. Stevenson. The People's Champion Award was created in partnership with Erase The Hate, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment's social impact campaign which supports and celebrates people across country taking action against hate, discrimination and bias.
