Coventry music star Tom Clarke will make his first foray into theatre this year with a brand new musical drama opening at the Belgrade Theatre next season.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. Enrollment is open until June 17 and fans can sign up for the course at musicals.tcm.com.

For over 50 years, Perry Como ranked as one of America's most successful and beloved entertainers. A big band singer in the late 1930s, a radio star in the 1940s and then a TV headliner in the 1950s and beyond, Perry was a warm and welcome presence in tens of millions of households for six decades, charting over 100 hit songs along the way.

Director Michael Grandage is reviving Red by John Logan, it opens at the Wyndham Theatre on the 15th of May and it sees Alfred Molina reprising his role as Mark Rothko and How To Get Away With Murder star Alfred Enoch as his assistant Ken. After a year of good behaviour at the Criterion the second company have been released on parole, with a new band of inmates starting performances from 27 February. Joining the cast are Samson Ajewole (Cooper), Jenna Augen (Ruth Monaghan), Jack Baldwin (Officer Shuck), Leonard Cook (Robin Freeboys), Matt Douglas-Hunt (Mitch Ruscitti) and Peter McGovern (Warren Slax). Continuing their roles as the bars-crossed lovers are Samuel Fogell (Sam Monaghan) and Holly Sumpton (Caprice Freeboys), and literally completing the cast is Chris Leask (Everyone Else).

"Weird Al" Yankovic band members Stephen Jay and Jim "Kimo" West will perform at Club Passim on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 11:00 PM  as part of their Parallel Universe Tour. Jay and West will perform earlier in the evening with "Weird Al" at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston before heading to Harvard Square for the rare late night show. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), a professional membership organization of songwriters, composers and music publishers, announces its Top Holiday Songs for 2017. According to an ASCAP analysis of streaming and terrestrial radio data, 1994's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You,' written by Walter Afanasieff and Mariah Carey, moves to #1, joining enduring Christmas classics like 'A Holly Jolly Christmas'(written by Johnny Marks, 1962) and 'Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow'(written by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne, 1945), at the top of the charts. Today's subject Kimberly Gilbert is currently living her theatre life onstage at one of her local theatrical homes. She portrays the slightly deranged, tux shirt-wearing arsonist Billie Irons in The Arsonists at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. The production plays through October 14th.

In 1959, theater, film, and TV star LANE BRADBURY created the role of Dainty June in the original Broadway production of the iconic show GYPSY starring Ethel Merman. Now, almost 60 years later, Bradbury is making her debut at the legendary cabaret Don't Tell Mama with LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU, AGAIN. Bradbury's musical trip down memory lane is a personal tour of how she transitioned from being an Atlanta Debutante to a performer on The Great White Way during the Golden Age of Broadway Musicals. Written by Doug DeVita, directed by Bradbury's daughter Elkin Antoniou, and with Musical Direction by Joe Goodrich, Lane Bradbury's LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU, AGAIN hits the Don't Tell Mama stage for a third performance on Sunday, September 24 at 7 pm.
