The incomparable Broadway legend Chita Rivera will be appearing at Segerstrom Center for The Arts in her latest concert show The Rhythm of My Life December 11, 2022. This talented lady has been awarded countless awards, including Tonys, a Lifetime Achievement Tony, the Medal of Freedom and a Kennedy Center Honor. I have the pleasure of chatting on the phone with Chita after her long day appearing at Disney World.

With the slogan “Theatre In These Trying Times”, the 25th edition of the festival has set out to breathe fresh air into both the world of theatre and to theatre lovers with a programme of mostly new productions that look at the world, which is in search of a new normal, through the lens of theatre.

The first single is a collaboration with Jamaican veteran Carlton Livingston, called “Accidental Badman,” which is inspired by a real-life tale of someone Livingston knows who went down a path of crime due to circumstances beyond his control.

These tracks will be released as singles over the course of the late summer and fall, culminating in an album release in early December.
