This March, The Ghost Road Company presents the world premiere of its latest ensemble-devised production, The Bargain and the Butterfly. Inspired by American novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne's short story, The Artist of the Beautiful, and under the direction of Katharine Noon, the Los Angeles-based theater company has created a beautifully haunting new play, which explores the delicate intersection of genius and madness. Performances will be held at Artworks Theatre (6569 Santa Monica Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90038) tonight, March 26 through Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Paul Taylor, considered one of the founders of modern dance, established Taylor 2 in 1993 to ensure that his works could be seen by audiences all over the world. Mr. Taylor worked with longtime colleague Linda Hodes to create a company that could accommodate performance requests as well as teach and provide community outreach. Mr. Taylor looked back to the 1954 origins of the Paul Taylor Dance Company for the structure of his new company: six professionals with a particular gift for his style who perform his work throughout the world. The Weinstein Company (TWC) announced today they have acquired rights for the US, Canada, United Kingdom, and Italy from Hanway Films KON-TIKI. The film, which tells the real-life adventure of Thor Heyerdahl's world-famous seafaring voyage, is the official Oscar® entry of Norway for Best Foreign Language Film. KON-TIKI is directed by Joachim Roenning and Espen Sandberg, with a script by Petter Skavlan. The film had its US premiere this week at AFI Fest.
