2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center (DTC) presents the world premiere of The Trials of Sam Houston by Aaron Loeb at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Directed by DTC Enloe/Rose Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty, The Trials of Sam Houston begins on April 20 and runs through May 13.

Sung Tongs was the fourth studio album from American band Animal Collective, and was released on May 3, 2004 by FatCat Records. Fourteen years later Animal Collective are back to perform the critically lauded album live in its entirety with tour dates throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. The band has only performed the album in full one other time, in December 2017 at Pitchfork's 21st birthday party in Queens, NY.

Madison Square Park Conservancy is proud to announce the opening of its thirty-fifth exhibition, Whiteout by artist Erwin Redl. The project features a luminous white carpet of LED lights across Madison Square Park's central Oval Lawn, on view from November 16, 2017 through March 25, 2018.   

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full cast and creative team for the world-premiere musical Snow Child, based on Eowyn Ivey's Pulitzer Prize-nominated novel. Infused with a score that combines Alaskan string band-traditions with contemporary musical theater, Snow Child follows a couple rebuilding their lives in the Alaskan wilderness when they meet a magical and mysterious snow child who transforms them.

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) welcomes the return of Taylor Mac, the genre-defying winner of a 2017 MacArthur 'Genius' Grant, recipient of the 2017 Edward M. Kennedy Prize for Drama, and a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, in the epic 24-hour performance art concert, A 24-Decade History of Popular Music, in its entirety in four six-hour chapters March 15, 17, 22 and 24 at 6 p.m. at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The producing team of Broadway Actress/Indie Producer Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage Au Folles, The Anthem) and Broadway Producer Jim Kierstead (Kinky Boots, Indecent) will premieretheir new movie ACE at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival on Saturday, February 24th. This short drama about sexual identity, first love and social norms that takes place among college friends, was written and directed by newcomer Jordan Gear and stars Jonathan Lipnicki, the former child actor from Jerry Maguire.

A co-production with the Alley Theatre and directed by DTC Enloe/Rose Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty, The Great Society begins on March 9 and runs through April 1. Eva Price and Sucker Love Productions have announced the third and final extension of the hit New York Premiere engagement of CRUEL INTENTIONS - the new musical nightlife experience based on Roger Kumble's 1999 cult-hit film. The musical, which began as a ten-week run starting November 17, 2017, will now play twenty-one weeks and 112 performances by its conclusion on Sunday, April 8, 2018.

In honor of Black History Month, the Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) and Broadway in New Orleans have partnered together to give 30 McMain High School students an exclusive opportunity to hear a reading of Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel THE COLOR PURPLE from cast members of the Tony Award-winning Broadway show. Students will have the opportunity to ask cast members questions about the show, storyline and their professional backgrounds. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, THE COLOR PURPLE is part of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2017 - 2018 season and will play at the Saenger Theatre Feb. 20-25.

Patchogue Theatre to produce a full concert version of the exciting, Broadway altering and Tony, Drama Desk and Grammy winning musical "HAIR." The concert production will be directed by Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner John McDaniel and will star Broadway and American Idol's Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young, along with a cast of young Broadway and national touring talent. A full 11-piece band will back this amazing cast. There will be two thrilling nights of music performed at Patchogue Theatre on March 9 and 10 at 8:00 p.m.

Legendary singer, songwriter and performer John Prine will release his highly anticipated new album, The Tree of Forgiveness, April 13 on his own independent label, Oh Boy Records (pre-order now). The first of many exciting announcements for the Austin, Texas duo, Street Sects have revealed their plans to kick off 2018 on the road with transgressive industrial group 3TEETH and punk-hop twosome Ho99o9. The North American tour spans late March into April and marks Street Sects' first tour since their 2017 embarkment with hip-hop/noise pioneers Dälek. 

On May 18, Low Cut Connie will release Dirty Pictures (Part 2) via Contender Records. For their fifth and most fully-realized album to date, the band travelled from their home turf of South Philadelphia to the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN where they cut their critically-acclaimed 2017 release Dirty Pictures (Part 1). Today, NPR Music premeries 'Beverly,' the first single to be released from the forthcoming album.

Howard, the resident dance supervisor for the national touring production of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS.
