K-Squared Entertainment and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) are thrilled to announce the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of PART OF THE PLAN, a new, original musical written by Kate Atkinson & Karen Harris and scored with the music and lyrics of celebrated singer-songwriter Dan Fogelberg. 

New York City Ballet will open its 2017-18 Season at Lincoln Center on Tuesday, September 19, and will continue with 21 weeks of performances, through Sunday, June 3, featuring 61 ballets by 15 different choreographers.

Mary's Wedding, Stephen Massicotte's dream-centered love story set during World War One, opens in The Armory's Ellyn Bye Studio on April 21, with preview performances beginning April 15 and regular performances running through May 28. Brandon Woolley will direct this tender story, starring Lexi Lapp and Alex J. Gould in their company debuts. Lapp will play Mary, the English dreamer we meet on the eve of her wedding day, and "Flowers," a commanding officer in WWI. Gould will play Charlie, the Canadian farm boy turned soldier.

The best-selling Russian crime fiction writer Boris Akunin's new stage adaptation of Shakespeare's HAMLET will debut this spring Off-Broadway when Red Lab Productions and Roust Theatre Company present HAMLET. A VERSION, with previews beginning April 21, prior to the official press opening on April 25 at The Theater at St. Clement's (423 W. 46 St.) in New York City. HAMLET. A VERSION is directed by Irina Gachechiladze. The production features original music by Georgian composer Giya Kancheli.

The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, is proud to announce Broadway's "Fiddler on the Roof" star Danny Burstein along with last season's high-kicking "She Loves Me" sensation and TV favorite Jane Krakowski will announce the nominees for the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, April 25th(11 AM) in the Oak Room at New York's renowned Algonquin Hotel (59 West 44th Street). Outer Critics Circle will announce two new award categories this year, "Outstanding Sound Design" and "Outstanding Orchestrations" to increase award nominations to 27 categories. The Festival will take place on Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28, 2016 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

On Monday, October 17 the Theater People podcast welcome's Broadway favorite Jay Armstrong Johnson. Armstrong made his Broadway debut in 2009 in HAIR. He next stood-by for Aaron Tveit in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. He originated the role of Greg Wihote in the 2013 Broadway production of HANDS ON A HARDBODY and then starred as chip in the critically acclaimed 2014 revival of ON THE TOWN. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 47th season will feature American Premiere of the surprise London hit, THE LIFE OF THE PARTY, running tonight, August 24, through September 18, starring Tony Award-nominated composer Andrew Lippa.

On Monday, August 15, the Theater People podcast welcomes three-time Tony-winning producer Kevin McCollum. Best known for producing Broadway mega-hits RENT, AVENUE Q, and, IN THE HEIGHTS, McCollum is also know for taking chances on smaller shows and shepherding them to Broadway.
