An exciting line-up of Broadway hits making their Charlotte debuts and returning fan favorites including Hamilton and Wicked will be center stage when Blumenthal Performing Arts relaunches its PNC Broadway Lights and Equitable Bravo series this fall.

BETTY WHITE’S PET SET, a long-unseen series created by and starring the sitcom legend, will make its debut on digital platforms and DVD on February 23, 2021. Celebrating the show’s 50th anniversary, BETTY WHITE’S PET SET will be released by MPI Media Group in partnership with Darren Wadyko Media and Albets Enterprises.

During the opening night performance of her fun return engagement at Segerstrom Center for the Arts' Cabaret Series at the Samueli Theatre, Tony Award winner Lillias White felt strongly about putting on a a?oehappy show,a?? as a way to combat all the sadness and fear that have overtaken our world. The Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture opens its 2019 Fall Season with a?oeA Salute to Richie Bonilla,a?? the long-time Latin Music Artist Manager, with a selection of artists he managed paying tribute in a star-studded concert on Saturday, October 12th at 7:30 PM in the Main Theater. There will be performances by the Puerto Rican singer/ songwriter and former Fania All-Star Ismael Miranda, singer Joe Bataan a?oeThe King of Latin Soul,a?? the Grammy Winning Cuban vocalist Albita, former Tito Puente vocalist Frankie Morales, timbalero Orlando Marin, known as a?oethe last Mambo King,a?? the highly energetic instrumental & vocal duo Los Hermanos Moreno, virtuoso flutist Connie Grossman and the Steven Oquendo Mambo Orchestra. Noted broadcaster Felipe Luciano will serve as Master of Ceremonies. A dance follows at 9:30 PM in the Hostos Café with DJ Brian Martínez spinning Salsa favorites.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) and the entire Broadway community mourn the loss of Tony Award-winning writer Joe Masteroff, who passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at age 98. Roundabout will celebrate Masteroff's memory and longstanding history with the company by dimming the lights of the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street), Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street), and the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street) on Wednesday, October 17 at 5:45pm for one minute.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Joseph Masteroff, the Tony-winning librettist of the international musical classics, Cabaret and She Loves Me, died on September 28th 2018 at the Actors Fund Home in Engelwood, New Jersey. He was 98 years old.

Kronos Quartet/Kronos Performing Arts Association (KPAA) is proud to announce the fourth group of composers for Fifty for the Future: The Kronos Learning Repertoire. Launched in 2015, Kronos' Fifty for the Future is an exciting partnership with Carnegie Hall and others to create 50 new works - by 25 women and 25 men - expressly for the training of students and emerging professionals. Each year, ten composers are announced.
