Thrice at Dundee Rep

Thrice is a poetic response to Shakespeare's Macbeth, led by a nine-strong tragic chorus of female performers including Alys Williams, Ashley Smith, Jennifer Steele, Jessie Roberts-Smith, Maya Bodiley, Monet Debois, Samuela Noumtchuet, Sarah Farrell, and Tess Letham. Set in the aftermath of Macbeth, the piece places nine women in three trios who remain after the bloodshed, asking what it means to live on in the shadow of ruin. Words once spoken by soldiers and tyrants are absorbed and transformed by figures who haunt the play's edges: the witches. Directed by Al Seed and Judith Milligan, and choreographed by Lina Limosani, the work unfolds as a ritual, choral performance combining movement, dance, text, and original music.
