Primal Scream is a new play by Robin Hawdon in which world-renowned soprano Carly Paoli plays Sugar, a young woman released from prison into the care of a psychologist after attempting to kill her abusive stepfather. Sugar proves to be a serious challenge for the shrink, revealing an ambition to train as an opera singer and demonstrating her remarkable voice. Neil Roberts co-stars as the psychologist. The play is an electric, unpredictable, and at times hilarious confrontation between the two characters.
