Notes from a Narcissistic Negro and Other N Words is a solo dramedy written and performed by Elizabeth June, directed by Malini Singh McDonald. The deeply personal work blends storytelling, spoken word, music, stand-up, and testimony to explore survival, healing, identity, and resilience in the aftermath of childhood trauma, clergy sexual abuse, and cancer survival. The production has received multiple honors including Best One-Person Show at the 2024 United Solo Festival and Best of Fest at the Whitefire Theatre's 2025 SoloFest. This performance serves as an Edinburgh Festival Fringe preview ahead of the show's debut at The Annexe at Paradise in The Vault.
