Dance Base, Scotland's National Centre for Dance, has announced Jeanie Scott as its new Chief Executive, succeeding Jim Hollington in November 2024. Concurrently, Tony Mills will extend his tenure as Artistic Director through 2029, enhancing the organization's leadership during a crucial period for the Scottish dance community. Together, they will navigate the evolving arts landscape and strengthen support for dance artists following the impacts of Creative Scotland's funding announcements. Scott brings over 30 years of experience in the arts, while Mills has been pivotal in establishing partnerships and programs that spotlight local and international dance.
