Presented by Imagine Theatre, Goldilocks and the Three Bonnie Bears will be packed with festive spirit, side-splitting comedy, and plenty of surprises for kids and grown-ups alike, this is the Pavilion's must-see festive tradition; it's fun, festive, and oh-so-full of cheer!
Liam Dolan, who will perform in the show and who is also involved with the show's creative journey said: ‘I am so excited that the team are back for what will be another fantastic Pavilion Panto. I am also over the moon to have Louise McCarthy join us, she is absolutely fantastic, the audience are going to love her, and I can't wait to work with her again.'
Louise McCarthy said of her casting: ‘I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of the Pavilion panto. Having performed here and come along to watch over the years, I know just how special the audiences are, they bring such energy, warmth and brilliant Glasgow humour to every show. It's what makes panto here so unique. It's also a joy to be working alongside so many friends and colleagues I've known for years. There's such a strong, homegrown Scottish talent in the company, and I'm excited to be on stage with them and part of the Pavilion family. Panto is such a special part of theatre, for many people, it's their first experience of coming to a show. It opens the doors in a way that feels accessible, welcoming and for everyone, and the Pavilion does that brilliantly. My kids are overjoyed that I'm doing it… mainly so they can come along and boo me!'
Pavilion Theatre Director Jamie Gordon said: ‘Panto at the Pavilion is woven into the fabric of Glasgow's festive season and this year's panto is shaping up to be something truly special. With a phenomenal cast and a story packed with heart, humour and Glasgow charm, Goldilocks and the Three Bonnie Bears will deliver the kind of magic our audiences come back for year after year.'
Join feisty heroine Goldilocks, the daughter of Gertie who runs the circus, as she stumbles upon a family of three bonnie bears, each with their own big personalities, bigger appetites, and even bigger hearts. However, the wicked ringmaster is threatening to ruin Gertie's Circus and expand her own, so Goldilocks must team up with her furry friends to save the day. Expect toe-tapping songs, slapstick chaos, and enough panto magic to warm even the chilliest Glasgow winter night.
