A hugely popular Broadway hit comedy tells the story of two eccentric octogenarians determined to fight off all attempts to put them out to pasture. Nat is a feisty lifelong Jewish radical determined to fight injustice. He is also something of a spinner of tales, using an outrageous variety of assumed personalities to get his way. Midge is an African American apartment superintendent who spends his days in Central Park hiding out from tenants who want him to retire. Amidst much humor the play also asks the question of whether it is more important to passively follow the straight and narrow path, or to actively follow one’s passions and dreams?
