Tiffany Austin Sings Carmen McRae's Carmen Sings Monk at Joe Henderson Lab

L.A. native Tiffany Austin spent five years in Japan as a singer before moving to the East Bay to study at UC Berkeley School of Law, later earning a scholarship to the California Jazz Conservatory. This performance honors Carmen McRae's Carmen Sings Monk, recorded live at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall in 1988, featuring songs adapted with lyrics by Jon Hendricks, Abbey Lincoln, Mike Ferro, and Sally Swisher, including Dear Ruby and Listen to Monk.
