Puccini's opera in three acts, presented in a new English translation by Thomas Clark, based on the play by David Belasco. Set during the California Gold Rush around 1849, the story explores deception, desire, love, forgiveness, and redemption. The production stars Jordan Best as Minnie, Robert Balonek as Sheriff Jack Rance, with Xavier Prado as Dick Johnson for the first two performances and John Kun Park in the role for the final two. The opera is presented complete without cuts to the score, conducted from the piano by Umberto Barisciano and directed by Gary L. Stanford, Jr.
