The End of the Line follows two Chinese brothers who built the transcontinental railroad as they wait on the Oakland wharf while the celebration begins without them, arguing about whether America is a place they leave or a place they plan to stay. The play was written by Juan Li Chen, a senior at Galileo Academy of Science and Technology. It is presented as a staged reading by professional actors as part of the PlayGround Festival of New Works Young Playwrights Contest.
