The concluding public performance of Opera Modesto's 8th annual Summer Opera Institute features youth artists graduating from 8th through 12th grade in the Central Valley. The intensive two-week training program is preceded by six weeks of private music instruction and is designed to strengthen musicianship, build performance skills, and foster confidence and leadership. The free public performance caps a program that also aims to create a lasting community for teens facing isolation and loneliness.
