Present Laughter, Noel Coward's comedy first produced in 1941, will be presented by the Orinda Starlight Village Players as part of their 43rd season. Set in 1941 London, the play follows famous theatre actor Garry Essendine as he prepares for a tour in Africa while navigating a midlife crisis involving his household staff, business partners, a love-struck debutante, an obsessed playwright, his ex-wife, and a potentially ruinous affair. Directed by Patrick Atkinson, the production stars Matt Cardigan-Smith as Garry Essendine, Amy Stringer as Liz Essendine, Shiv Harris as Monica Reed, and Kelsey Bye as Joanna Lyppiatt, with additional cast members including Ella Frances Vatvani, Max O. Chang, Marc Berman, Kenneth Matis, Will Spongberg, Yvette Niccolls, and Mimi Hamilton.
